The Problem
Students comparing colleges need current, consistent information about universities and their courses, and a place to keep track of their own search. The platform needed a fast front end that search engines can read, data that stays up to date, and infrastructure the team could run with separate development and production environments.
The Solution
Apex36 built the platform's front end and infrastructure. The front end uses the Next.js App Router with TypeScript, Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui, rendered on the server so search engines can read the course and college pages. A data pipeline gathers university information into the platform. The platform runs on its own Kubernetes cluster, with secrets kept apart for each environment. The platform is live. The client is not named under a confidentiality agreement.

The platform runs its front end and data pipeline side by side with separate environments. A dedicated cluster keeps them isolated and lets each part scale on its own. For smaller apps we often recommend something simpler, such as ECS Fargate or a serverless setup.
