United Medical

Four-package Next.js monorepo placing locum and salaried physicians across Germany. GDPR-bound PostgreSQL + Redis + BrowserStack QA.

Tech Stack:Next.jsTypeScriptPostgreSQLRedis

The Problem

German healthcare faces chronic physician shortages, especially for locum coverage. Traditional staffing agencies rely on spreadsheets, phone calls, and email threads, slow, error-prone, and not easily auditable. United Medical needed a modern platform that could handle placements at scale in a GDPR-bound, EU-region environment, without sacrificing the relationship-driven nature of medical staffing.

The Solution

Apex36 delivered a four-package Next.js monorepo (um-api-next, um-scan-next, um-types-next, um-web-next) matching locum (Honorarärzte) and salaried (Festanstellung) physicians with hospitals and clinics across all specialties in Germany. PostgreSQL with a production-scale schema handles core data, Redis powers caching and sessions, and BrowserStack provides cross-browser QA for the conservative hospital IT environments. The platform is fully localised in German and built for GDPR-compliant EU-region hosting.
